Happy and Healthy New Year.
Beginning a new year is a time of looking back to the past, and more importantly, forward to the coming year. It's a time to reflect on the changes we want (or need) to make and resolve to follow through on those desired changes. For many, food and fitness...a cleaner diet and a more active life is at the top of list. One of the most powerful tools to manifest desire begins with intention, I believe this whole heartedly. ( It has worked for me over and over )When you set an intention with all your heart and soul, it triggers a transformation of energy that draws what you desire. If you are wishing to become healthier ,more fit, lowering your lipids, or simply cleaning up your sugar cravings and junk foods, start with realizing things CAN change and use the tools necessary to help you on a daily basis. After working with hundreds of people it never fails once they apply one or all of the principles below , they begin to succeed with their personal health goal. YOU CAN TOO!
Read the list, have your intention clear cut in your mind, firm affirmations and go fourth in achieving your health and fitness goals once and for all....don't look back, 2012 is here and it is your year to achieve your desired goals.
* Keep a food log of what you eat for 5 days. A real eye opener to see how often you eat or taste when you aren't even hungry.
*Make ONE change weekly---Change is hard , cut down on one particular food you want to eventually eliminate from your diet: Ex: sodas ( diet and regular)
* Don't skip meals...you all heard this before. Breakfast is key...start that engine first thing in the morning.
*Qauntify it ...It is not enough to say , I will eat less chocolate. Instead, bargain with yourself that you will choose the heart healthy , 75% and have one serving.
*Set ONE goal each month... One at a time, health or fitness goal, don't stress on setting to many at once , only leads to frustration and failure.
*When you are feeling deprived and think , "i just need to have my favorite food," grab a inch to pinch , or more, and ask yourself , "how bad do you want it and how will you feel after you eat it?
* MOVE. Walking is simple, easy and cheap. Start with 30 min 6 days a week and advance to an hour. Add wt training. A novice? Hire a personal trainer to set you on a path that is right for you. An investment that goes a long way to learning proper form, technique for you age, present physical limitations, that will last a lifetime. You deserve it ...you are not a ONE SIZE fits all body.
* Hydrate: Water is key to aid in bodily functions and wt loss.Don't leave home without it.
